POST-CONFERENCE UPDATE Thanks to all speakers and attendees for contributing to the success of the conference.

Evolutionary Approaches to Disease and Health (EADH) is one of six one-day conferences being held at UK universities throughout 2009-10 as part of the ESRC Darwin's Medicine Seminar Series. Each of these conferences focuses on a particular application of Darwinian theory to everyday life. EADH is the only one of the six to focus on evolutionary medicine (please do not be confused by the fact that the title of the entire series, "Darwin's Medicine", is similar to the term "Darwinian Medicine"). EADH will bring together a group of international experts on evolutionary medicine to share their ideas about how Darwinian theory can contribute to improving medical theory, practice and education. The aim of EADH is to provide an opportunity for communication between academics, medical professionals, and others who have a shared interest in evolutionary approaches to health issues. Talks will focus on a broad range of medical topics, from infectious diseases to psychiatric disorders. Attendance and lunch will be free, however spaces are limited and all attendees must be registered. If you are interested in attending please contact Michael Price of the Brunel University Psychology Department: michael.price [@] brunel.ac.uk Registration update: Please note that as of 22nd Feb. 2010, the conference is full. A waitlist is being maintained. If you are interested in being placed on this waitlist, so that you can attend if space opens up, please email Michael Price at the above address. |
