The Centre for Culture and Evolutionary Psychology (CCEP) at Brunel University, West London is an interdisciplinary group investigating the relations between evolved psychological mechanisms and cultural variation in humans and other species. Recent developments in theoretical perspectives and methodological tools have created an opportunity for the empirical examination of many lingering questions on debates over ‘nature vs nurture’. CCEP brings together core expertise in cross-cultural and evolutionary psychology to consider behaviour at a range of levels, from individual biology and personality, through group and social processes to the broader culture.
