OR-Library is a collection of test data sets for a variety of OR problems.

A full list of the test data sets available in OR-Library can be found here.

Lot streaming

There is currently 1 data file.

This data file (LS_prob.zip) is a zipped file containing problem instances.

The problem instance generator is available as the file lsgen.exe

A file describing the problem instances is available (in pdf) as LS_description.pdf

These test problems have been contributed by PD Dr. Martin Feldmann, (Mfeldmann1@gmx.net; Mfeldmann@wiwi.uni-bielefeld.de; Dbiskup@wiwi.uni-bielefeld.de)

Lot streaming denotes techniques of splitting given jobs, each consisting of identical items, into sublots to allow their overlapping processing on successive machines in a multi-stage production system. While traditional scheduling problems assume that jobs or lotsizes are fixed, lot streaming problems can be considered as sequencing problems with the characteristic that the magnitude of each sublot is a decision variable

The following two papers utilise the above test problems:

The largest file is LS_prob.zip of size 64Kb (approximately).
The entire set of files is of size 120Kb (approximately).
