Dendrograms
Although dendrograms are the prevailing visualisation technique, there three main problems:
- There are isomorphisms if the comparison relation is symmetric.
- The trees do not scale up for large amounts of data.
- Can you trust clustering algorithm?
- Nearest neighbour prefers “sphere-like” clusters
