BaBar studies the decay of B particles (which contain b quarks) produced by electron-positron collisions at the SLAC B Factory in California, USA. By looking at the difference between the way B particles and their antiparticles decay they are able to study so-called CP violation which might help explain why the Universe is dominated by particles with very few antiparticles. |
