PHYSICA-FEMGV
A market sector addressed by FEMGV is use with PHYSICA. Both pre- and post-interfaces are well developed and a number of standard element types are supported. Animation of steel investment casting
The picture shows a 3D animation (450 secs. real time) of the casting of a steel test bar assembly simulated in PHYSICA. FEMVIEW is used to display effective stress contours (Max. 700 MPa), and a single command allows animation over a set of results. The user can see the steel cast shrinking (Mag x10) and the contact with the deformable ceramic shell mould constraining the steel cast.
