PHYSICA-FEMGV
A market sector addressed by FEMGV is use with PHYSICA. Both pre- and post-interfaces are well developed and a number of standard element types are supported. Animation of aluminium sand casting
The picture shows a 3D animation (900 secs. real time) of the sand casting of an aluminium plate simulated in PHYSICA. FEMVIEW is used to display effective stress contours, and a single command allows animation over a set of results. The user can see the aluminium cast shrinking (Mag x10) and the contact with the deformable sand mould constraining the aluminium cast.
