High Performance Computing for Smart Distribution Network Operation (HiPerDNO).

A three year EU funded STREP (February 2010 - January 2013). This project is coordinated by Dr G.A. Taylor (BIPS). This 6.5M (4.4M) Euro project involves 11 partners from 6 European countries. The HiPerDNO research project has received funding from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement number: 248135 Smart Grids Projects


Royal Society International Incomimg Fellowship (BIPS).

A one year fellowship wholely funded by The Royal Society (November 2006 - November 2007). The project title is Integration of Distributed Energy Resources: An Evolutionary Power scenario. The project is part of the Royal Society International Incoming Fellowship scheme and is based at BIPS.


EDF Energy (EPSRC CASE award) (EPSRC).

A three year PhD studentship funded by EDF Energy (September 2006 - September 2009). The project title is Evaluation of Active Voltage Control and Reactive Power Flow Management of an Interconnected 33kV System via SCADA to Minimise Losses while Accodating Distributed Generation. The project is part of the EPSRC CASE scheme and is based at EDF Energy and BIPS.


National Grid (EPSRC EngD award) (EPSRC).

A four year PhD studentship funded by National Grid UK (November 2006 - November 2010). The project title is Investigating the Potential for Environmentally Significant Loss Reduction on the NG Transmission System using Operational Measures. The project is part of the EPSRC EngD scheme and is based at National Grid UK and BIPS.
