who am i? My name is Laurence Brooks, I am a Lecturer in the School of Information Systems, Computing and Mathematics at Brunel University. I was the Course Director for the MSc in Information Systems Management (which used to be the MSc in Information Systems).
Before that I was a Lecturer in Information Technology and Management
(ITBML) in the Department of Computer Science at University
of York. Before that I was a Research Associate at the Judge Institute
of Management Studies (now the Judge
Management School) at the University
of Cambridge. I received my Doctorate from the University
of Liverpool and my undergraduate degree from the University
of Bristol.
ukais I am the Past President of the UKAIS (the UK Academy for Information Systems); our website can be found at www.ukais.org. This organisation represents the interests of Information Systems academics (and associated others) in the UK and is affiliated to by the AIS.
ukss I am a member of the national board
for the UKSS (www.ukss.org.uk) and
am Deputy Editor for the in-house journal, Systemist.
