Bioinformatics: H and M differences

Aims:

  • To show how problems in bioinformatics can provide challenges for traditional computer science in terms of the development of new techniques .

    Intended Learning Outcomes:

  • To be able to identify the classes of problems in bioinformatics that can pose challenges to computing science and to gain an appreciation regarding how their solutions can advance the field of computing science.
  • Ability to perform basic modelling and analysis of some biochemical pathways.
