November-December 2013 rehearsal images of Act I and II // Film-Demo and workshop at CYNETart Festival, Dresden--Hellerau

DAP- Lab's approach is conceptual, developing material for a sonic dance production and pressing further its research into audiophonic

costumes and choreographic design.

Rehearsals in the studio during November -December 2013 (without costumes)- showing a few imgaes from a dry assemblage run that looked at all the scenes currently under development [featuring] Yiorgos Bakalos, Caroline Wilkins, Helenna Ren, Manaskarn Insong. There was an additional workshop meeting with Marco Donnarumma [at bottom] on December 13 which emerged from DAP's encounter with Donnarumma at the CYNETart Festival in Dresden-Hellerau. All design and art direction by Michèle Danjoux; electronics by John Richards, visual graphics/interface design by Cameron McKirdy & Johannes Birringer, sound processing by Elliott O'Brart / J Birringer, staging direction by J Birringer/M Danjoux (c) Photo DAP-Lab

CYNETart 2013 festival in Dresden/Hellerau [Germany] got under way in mid-November 2013 with its annual exhibition, performance, and music event. DAP presented a film-and-live-demo of some of the Danjoux audiophonic garments and our concepts for "audible and inaudble choreography" for the new production "for the time being/Victory over the Sun," which will premiere at Sadler's Wells on April 3-4, 2014. It was amazing to show some film excerpts from our larger work at CYNETart festival and work in the famous Festspielhaus Hellerau (where Dalcroze and Appia worked from 1909 - 1914 as well as in the particular "Metabody" context: Go here for some images and for more images . (The costumes were shown on a tall mannequin - a male one we called Dieter - and one was also demo'ed by a Canadian dancer who volunteered to wear RedMicroDress (the second mannequin, smaller and dark, we called here Marlene - broke its wooden foot and had to be retired). The METABODY project is led by Jaime del Val/Reverso (Madrid) who along with us scripted its philosophy and working method (we are about 12 associate partners, so the team is quite large, differentiated, and the organisation is complex, stretching over 5 years): Go here for METABODY
