HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ARTICLE

Submit via e-mail in Word Format and an abstract of 100 words.

FORMAT OF TEXT

Headings should be in 14 point, Bold, Ariel, and the body of the text in 12 point Ariel, single line spacing. This is to keep a consistent format throughout the journal.

Endnotes should use the author-date system for referencing. Endnotes and references should conform to the style here indicated.

The word limit for Papers/Perspectives is 3,000 - 5,000 words. Reviews can be a maximum of 2,000 words.

FORMAT OF REFERENCES IN THE TEXT

Identify all references to books, monographs, articles and other sources, at an appropriate point in the main text by the author's last name, year of publication, and pagination where appropriate, all within parentheses. Specify subsequent citations of the same source similarly; do not use 'ibid', 'op. cit' or 'loc. cit'.

If the author's name is in the text, use only the year of publication in parentheses, e.g. Hodge (2000). If the author's name is not in the text, include both the author's name and year of publication separated by a comma within the parentheses, e.g. (Mitter, 1998). Pagination follows year, e.g. (Broadhurst, 1999: 26-7). With dual authorship give both names; for three or more use 'et al.', e.g. (Jones and Stephenson, 1999) and (Cave et al., 1999). If there is more than one reference to the same author and year, distinguish between them by use of the letter 'a', 'b', etc. Attached to the year of publication, e.g. (Derrida, 1979a). A series of references should be enclosed within a single pair of parentheses, separated by semicolons, e.g. (Bean, 1999; Broadhurst, 1999; Zarrilli, 1999).

FORMAT OF REFERENCE LISTS

The reference list should be listed 'References'. List all entries cited in the text or any other items used to prepare the manuscript alphabetically by authors and year of publication in a separate, headed, reference section. Please follow the examples given:

Baudrillard, Jean (1992) 'Revolution and the End of Utopia', pp. 233-42 in William Stearns and William Chaloupka (eds) Jean Baudrillard and The Disappearance of Art and Politics. London: Macmillan.

FORMAT OF QUOTATION WITHIN THE TEXT

Quotations longer than approximately 40- words should be typed in an indented paragraph format, without the use of inverted commas.
